Mikko Pöntinen's software caught it as a streak smeared across five Euclid Deep Field North sets from September 16-24. The Minor Planet Center confirmed it October 8 as C/2026 S1 (Euclid) (https://www.nanowerk.com/news2/space/newsid=70440.php), about 1.3 billion kilometers out.
